The Department Central Laboratory is responsible for the specification of materials and processes that are used at our customer. Exploring and also the transfer of new technologies within materials and process areas for our customer are also part of your responsibilities.
As a Tribology specialist you are responsible for developing, maintaining and spreading knowledge about this discipline within the entire organization of our customer.
With your specialist knowledge you support the product development department with the design of products, the technical selection of the suppliers, secure the product and troubleshoot in the area of test and field problems and work together with various specialists.
Developing and making relevant analysis methods applicable for our customer, development of acceleration factors are core activities within your work. You maintain contacts with external knowledge institutes and companies and actively expand these relationships. You detect opportunities within technological areas and initiate and coordinate projects herein.
You are responsible for the technical content of material-and process standards related to this field of expertise within our customer.

REEF is looking is for candidates with a Msc or PhD background, experience in the field of Tribology, Mechanical or Materials Science.
You have knowledge of the behaviour of tribological systems and can advise from a theoretical point of view regarding material and lubricant use, perform simulations and/or physical experiments.
You have knowledge of analysis methods and measuring methods such as SEM, XRD, 3D microscopy, Auger and other relevant techniques.
You are independent but know to convince and lead multidiciplinaire teams in project context.
You have good analytical and projectmanagement skills, are decisive and enthusiastic. Good communication skills and knowledge of German and English oral and verbal are a requirement.
